Health Camps

PFWS organized free, comprehensive health check-up camps across all fourteen Welfare Centres for Delhi Police families to promote preventive healthcare and overall well-being. The initiative was conducted in collaboration with reputed healthcare institutions including BLK Hospital, Max Hospital, 24×7 Care Foundation, NKS Super Specialty Hospital, and Malik Radix Healthcare and provided access to quality medical services at no cost. In total, 23 camps were successfully conducted over a span of eight months.

The camps offered a wide range of consultations and screenings in specialties such as Gynaecology, Cardiology, Oncology, Ophthalmology, and Dental Care. Delivered by experienced medical professionals, the programme focused on early diagnosis and encouraged families to adopt a proactive approach to health.

The overwhelming participation highlighted a growing awareness of preventive healthcare within the community. Smt. Rachna Golchha, President, PFWS, visited the Welfare Centres at New Kondli and Shalimar Bagh, interacting with beneficiaries and felicitating the medical teams for their dedicated service.

This initiative represents a significant step towards strengthening community health and reinforces PFWS’s commitment to the welfare of Delhi Police families.

Health Seminars for players

In its continued endeavour to promote athlete well-being, PFWS organised a comprehensive health seminar on 6th June 2025 at the GOs Mess, NPL Kingsway Camp under the banner of Mission Olympics. Led by sports health expert Shri Jatin Chaudhary, along with Shri Sumit Sharma, the session focused on injury prevention, performance optimisation, physiotherapy, fitness regimes, nutrition, and mental preparedness. The seminar saw active participation from 78 athletes and coaches, who benefited from practical insights and interactive discussions. The initiative reaffirmed PFWS’s commitment to promoting health awareness and sporting excellence among Delhi Police families.

Sports Trials

Sports trials covering nine disciplines were organized at the NPL Complex and Ludlow Castle School under the Mission Olympics initiative for Delhi Police families. Conducted from June 2 to 30, 2025, the trials witnessed enthusiastic participation from approximately 200 players.

The trials provided a valuable platform for aspiring athletes to showcase their talent, receive professional evaluation, and gain constructive feedback for improvement. The initiative played a crucial role in identifying promising talent across disciplines and facilitating opportunities for advanced training and development.

Beyond skill assessment, the trials promoted a spirit of healthy competition, teamwork, and sportsmanship, contributing to the overall fitness and well-being of participants. This effort underscores PFWS’s continued commitment to nurturing sporting talent and encouraging active participation within the Delhi Police.

निवारक स्वास्थ्य व कल्याण अभियान

दिनांक 2 जून , 2023 को  कल्याण केंद्र-NPL में Star Foundation and Star Imaging की मदद से खेल निरीक्षण के दौरान चयनित दिल्ली पुलिस परिवार के बच्चों के लिए निवारक स्वास्थ्य व कल्याण अभियान का आयोजन किया गया।शिविर में डॉ रुचि अग्रवाल व डॉ अशोक कपूर ने खेल सम्बंधित स्वास्थ्य को बेहतर बनाने की जानकारी बच्चों के साथ साझा की। जो शिविर में खिलाड़ियों की हड्डियों की जाँच,डाक्टरी सलाह व अन्य कई स्वास्थ्य सम्बंधित जाँच की गई l

क्रिकेट व निशानेबाजी के खेल में खिलाड़ियों का चयन

दिनांक 31 मई  2023 को कल्याण केंद्र-NPL में आयोजित खेल परीक्षण शिविर में दिल्ली पुलिस परिवार के 29 बच्चों का चयन क्रिकेट के खेल में श्री सचिन अग्रवाल के मार्गदर्शन से हुआ। निशानेबाज़ी में भी बच्चों ने सर्वोत्तम प्रदर्शन किया जिसका निरीक्षण श्री आयशा फलक व फलक शेर आलम द्वारा किया गया।

कबड्डी व वालीबॉल खेलों में खिलाड़ी चयन

पुलिस परिवार कल्याण समिटोई द्वारा आयोजित खेल परीक्षण शिविर दिनांक 28 मई  2023  के दौरान अपने मेहनत,रुचि,लग्न का परिचय देते हुए दिल्ली पुलिस परिवार के 30 बच्चों ने कबड्डी व 19 बच्चों ने वॉलीबॉल टीम में अपनी जगह बनायी।खेल विशेषज्ञ श्री मोहित व श्री पुलकित त्यागी ने बच्चों को अपने प्रदर्शन को बेहतरीन बनाने हेतु उनका मार्गदर्शन किया |

बास्केटबाल व फुटबॉल खेल में खिलाड़ियों का चयन

PFWS द्वारा दिनांक 27 मई  2023 को आयोजित खेल परीक्षण शिविर में दल निष्ठा व अनुशासन का सर्वोत्तम परिचय देते हुए  पुलिस  परिवार के 21 बच्चों ने बॉसकिटबॉल व 27 बच्चों ने फ़ुट्बॉल टीम में अपनी जगह बनायी।चयन प्रक्रिया ,खेल विशेषज्ञ श्री सुनील व श्री सुदर्शन जी के मार्गदर्शान से पूर्ण हुई।

Kabaddi & Wrestling

A workshop on physiotherapy was organised by PFWS for Kabaddi and Wrestling players at NPL Sports ground on 13th April, 2018, to ensure prevention from injuries which may occur on the sports ground and how a player can recover quickly. Physiotherapist, Dr. Surendra Yadav from Triton Hospital conducted this workshop which benefited 30 players. They acquired many essential tips on improving agility and how to make sharp judgements. Wrestling players gained the knowledge on the skill “ Mental Toughness” which helps them to keep on fighting even during the moments when things start to be difficult and tough with maintaining positive attitude, which is must for a successful wrestler.

Sports Injury and Safety

To impart the knowledge on sports science and fitness, another workshop on “Sports Injury and Safety” was organised by PFWS for the players of Mission Olympics-2020 at Sports Ground, NPL on 28th April, 2018, it was largely credited for transforming the mindset of the players with regard to their fitness. Dr. Rishi, a renowned physiotherapist from Ayushman Hospital, conducted this workshop, equipped players with knowledge related to biomechanics, nutrition, supplementation and skills about how to respond immediately to sports and exercise related injury. An open interaction with the physiotherapist helped the players to discuss and get solutions for all types of issues occurring on a day to day basis.

Shooting and Badminton

In series of workshops for Mission Olympics-2020 players, Police Families Welfare Society (PFWS) held a workshop for Badminton and Shooting players at NPL GOs Mess on 19th May, 2018. It was conducted by physiotherapist Dr. Rishi from Ayushman Hospital. In this workshop, major emphasis was laid on how badminton players can excel in multiple areas. The physiotherapist emphasised that a player must possess incredible athletic ability, high levels of speed, agility, strength, flexibility and muscular endurance. On the other hand shooting players were given tips on how to improve their accuracy and gun handling skills. This workshop turned out to be a confidence booster for the players.

Workshop-Cum Health Check-Up Camp

Workshop-cum Health Check-up Camp For the multiple aspects related to health and fitness of our budding players of all six games, Star Imaging and Path Lab Pvt. Ltd. was invited for a workshop cum health check up camp which was conducted on 26th May 2018. Mrs. Suchana Patnaik as chief guest attended the event to boost the morale of players. Mr. Sameer Bhati, Operation Head, conducted the workshop where he provided consultation for general ailments and also discussed the importance of maintaining a file of all blood investigations and any other tests if they have ever undergone. In the workshop Mr. Bhati also recommended appropriate precautions and interventions which may require at any stage. After that health checkups were done by the team of doctors that included ECG, Bone Density test, Eye Screening, Blood Pressure Check, Random Blood Sugar test, Neuropathy, PFT and Blood investigation like CBC, Thyroid Test, Lipid Profile, Uric Acid and Blood Sugar Fasting etc. At the end Chief guest distributed the gifts to players of PFWS and thanked to the team for their support to this endeavour.
