Teej Festivities at PFWS Malviya Nagar

Marking the beginning of the monsoon season, PFWS celebrated the Teej festival at WC Malviya Nagar with immense enthusiasm and colorful customaries. Smt. Suchna Patnaik, President PFWS was invited as the chief guest along with senior officer’s wives and over 175 ladies from the police personnel families. Team leader Smt. Manisha Bhatia welcomed Smt. Suchna Patnaik and other guests with bouquets and a welcome dance led by the ladies of the Malviya Nagar, Andrews Ganj, and  IIT H. Khas police colonies. Thereafter, a poem recitation was presented by Smt. Vishwas Devi, followed by a Bhajan (folk geet) by Smt. Awdesh Devi with her team. The festivities became more fun with a round of Antakshari and other games. In addition, Smt. Suchna Patnaik, President PFWS addressed the gathering to appreciate the participants for putting up a great show. After the event, all the guests enjoyed the swings, putting on henna and bangles, followed by some tea, snacks, and merriment.
