TARANA, a musical evening to enthrall the audience is organized by the PFWS. A yet another ‘first’ in the history of PFWS is launched with this musical evening – an Inter-District Cultural Competition held on 12th November, 2016, at K.D. Jadhav Hall, IGI stadium Delhi.

The event, TARANA, is organized with dual welfare objectives; one, to encourage and appreciate the talents of the family members of Delhi Police Personnel and the other is the cause of community welfare by generating awareness and support for the PFWS WAJIFA Program. PFWS WAJIFA initiative endeavors to support the dependents of policemen in continuing/enhancing their education, professional studies, skill development, special education needs, books and technical knowhow, vocational studies, physical and mental health, talent development, sports abilities etc. To actualize the vision and add sustainability to the financial support for Wajifa, Tarana is being organized. The proceeds of the Tarana event shall be utilized for WAJIFA.

The Tarana event was designed to be an extravaganza with celebrity presence and presence of renowned artistes. It was also the Launchpad for the official launch of the PFWS Website. The elaborate website could not have been launched any better than at this platform, with so much of fanfare and celebrations. The cultural extravaganza was filled with festivities and talent.

The planning and organizing of the preliminary rounds of auditions began as early as September. The PFWS teams brainstormed with the Delhi Police officers, teams were created, roles and responsibilities were defined and allocated, deadlines and timelines, were defined, resource requirements were identified and the micro-details of every activity was worked out.

For each round of auditions, the participants were professionally trained by the professional trainers and artistes.
