On the occasion of its 73rd Raising Day, Delhi Police organized a ceremonial parade on 16th Feb.2020 at New Police Line, Kingsway Camp Ground. Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah was the Chief Guest. Kiran Bedi, LG, Puducherry, former Commisioners of Police, Delhi Police Commissioner Amulya Patnaik, President, PFWS, Mrs. Suchana Patnaik, top officials from other agencies and senior police officers with lady wives were also present on the occasion.
In the welcome address, the Commissioner of Police, Delhi, . Sh. Amulya Patnaik reiterated force’s commitment in serving the city with utmost dedication and perseverance. He also appreciated PFWS for initiating a lot of welfare measures for police families and promoting potential sportsmen of police wards underMission Olympics – 2020.
The Chief Guest inspected the parade and presented medals to Delhi Police officers for their meritorious service.
Speaking on the occasion Amit Shah said: “When you look back on this 73rd Raising Day, you will find that Delhi Police is one of the best police forces not only in the country, but the entire world.” He lauded Delhi Police for maintaining peace and law & order, whether it is any festival, on official events or any international event or conference in Delhi.
The Chief Guest also visited the exhibition showcasing the efforts of Police Families Welfare Society and appreciated the efforts of PFWS.
