Delhi Police celebrated its 71st Raising Day with the ceremonial march at New Police Lines, Kingsway Camp on February 16, 2019. Shri Anil Baijal, Lt. Governor, Delhi was Chief Guest at the ceremony who inspected Guard of Honour on the occasion. He released the annual issue of PFWS magazine “Koshish-Ek Asha” in the presence of Shri Amulya Patnaik, Commissioner of Police, Delhi Police, Mrs Suchana Patnaik, President, PFWS, Delhi Police Senior officials and PFWS team. Mrs Kiran Bedi, Lt. Governor, Puducherry also graced the occasion with her presence and congratulated PFWS for remarkable progress in their work towards police families. A wide array of products and glimpses of activities organized by the PFWS in the year 2018 were on display. It was a theme based display for each centre. Various Welfare Centre’s handmade products such as candles, diyas, pickles, garments, potlis, summer-quilts, Jute Bags , condiments etc. were well appreciated and on for sale. In the run-up to the Police Week, several events were being organized across the capital.
