Serving KASHAYAM- An immunity booster drink to Delhi Police families

In the ongoing COVID-19 Pandemic scenario the Police Families Welfare Society (PFWS) under the leadership of it’s President Smt. Pratima Shrivastava has undertaken a number of initiatives in order to strengthen the overall Delhi Police response.
A city wide immunity drink distribution programme under PFWS came to a conclusion today at Sarai Rohilla Police Colony, North District. PFWS senior Mrs. Mamta Gupta and Mrs. Sapna Kumar alongwith DCP/North District were present during the occasion. Nearly 9000 members of police families had the opportunity to take the drink and learnt its recipe. Mr. T. V. Madan Kumar, the President of Legal Rights Council and Secretary namely Mrs. Raj Lakmi Mandal and were handed over appreciation letters on behalf of the President of the PFWS Smt. Pratima Shrivastava alongwith a gift containing masks and sanitizer being made by PFWS along with the memento mug and koshis-ek-asha magazine.
In an escalation to its commitment the PFWS, in association with LEGAL RIGHTS COUNCIL-INDIA, NGO focusing upon health awareness apart from other issues, had undertaken a systematic distribution of Ayurvedic immunity drink, i.e. Kadha (decoction) also known as “Kashyam” to Police families of Delhi Police Personnel residing in Police Colonies. The programme was launched on 04.05.2020 at Welfare Centre in Jagat Puri Police Colony wherein Mrs. Raj Laxmi Manda, General Secretary LRC, was personally present alongwith welfare staff of PFWS. A huge quantity of decoction i.e. nearly 80 litres was prepared on each day from raw materials containing 400 grams of cinnamon, 1.5 kg of black pepper, 1.75 kg Ginger, 6.5 kg jaggery, and 1 kg lemon, apart from Tulsi leaves. The residents of Police Colonies of Shakar Pur, New Ashok Nagar, Kaushambi, Narela pocket A/5 and pocket B/4, Rohini, Shalimar Bagh, Ashok Vihar, Pitampura , Pushpanjali Enclave, Paschim Vihar, Model Town colony, Jahangir Puri ,Metro police colony Jahangir Puri , Police Station Jahangir Puri, New Police Lines, Model Town Police Station, Malviya Nagar, Sec14 PHP Dwarka, Vikaspuri Police Lines, Ahata Kidara, Civil Lines, Sarai Rohilla and Subzi Mandi. and was served to nearly 9000 members of police families across Delhi.
