Senior Citizen’s Day & Gandhi Jayanti @ Ahata Kidara Welfare Centre

On 1st October, 2020 PFWS celebrated Senior Citizen’s Day and Gandhi Jayanti at Ahata Kidara Welfare Centre. On the occasion, Skill Centre VI was inaugurated at the renovated Ahata Kidara Welfare Centre. Smt. Pratima Shrivastava, President PFWS graced the event as Chief Guest and formally inaugurated the PFWS Skill Centre-VI with a ribbon cutting ceremony in the presence of Team Leaders Smt. Geeta Pathak, Smt. Namrata Singh, Smt. Neelima Singh, Smt. Kishwar Parvez, Smt. Archana Sinha, Smt. Dimple Bansal, Smt. Sapna Kumar and DCP North Sh. Anto Alphonse, Addl. DCP North Sh. Chandra Kumar.

Smt. Sapna Kumar, Team Leader of Ahata Kidara Welfare Centre extended warm welcome to all the guests followed by a wide range of cultural performances by the residents of Ahata Kidara Police Colony. A play on senior citizens and musical play on Mahatma Gandhi were the prime attractions of the show. The winners of Summer Camp and Khana Khazana Contest were also fecitated with trophies, medals and certificates alongwith cash prize.

Inner Wheels Club of Mulund Hills, an NGO has donated 2 Wheel Chairs and 2 Hearing Aid Machines to PFWS which were presented by the President PFWS to the beneficiaries of Delhi Police families.
