PFWS CELEBRATED CHILDREN DAY

Children’s Day  

PFWS and its families celebrated Children’s Day at all welfare centres with enthusiasm and zeal, which marks the birth anniversary of Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru, keeping in mind his words, “I may not have time for adults, but I have enough time for children.”

As children love outdoor activities, PFWS organised a day of fun filled sporting activities on Children’s Day.  All the centres were buzzing with excitement and joy as the beautifully dressed-up children participated in various activities organised for them. Team leaders of all welfare centres also attended the programme at their respective centres. Children participated enthusiastically in large numbers in engaging and innovative activities like lemon-spoon race, handkerchief game, tug of war and musical chair, which got the crowd cheering. Prizes were also given to winners of these games by the team leaders.

Smt. Suchana Patnaik, President, PFWS,along with team leaders also celebrated the day with the children at Model Town welfare centre. The formal programme started with a welcome song followed by activities for the children. All the children enjoyed lemon-spoon race, handkerchief game, tug of war and musical chair. Children also invited President, PFWS, team leaders and their parents to participate in special activities like tug of war and musical chair. Everyone relived their childhood by enthusiastically participating in these activities.

On this occasion, Smt. Suchana Patnaik felicitated PFWS sports achievers for their achievements. She addressed the gathering and expressed her gratitude for spending time and celebrating children’s day with children of our families. She also blessed them and encouraged them to work diligently and enjoy their childhood. At the end, sweets were distributed among the children. It was a memorable day for the children, parents and team leaders, which would always be cherished.
