In its effort to boost up the overall ambience of welfare of police families, Recreation Hall named “Pankh” was inaugurated by Smt. Pratima Shrivastava, President, PFWS on 13.01.2021 at Dwarka Welfare Centre.
On the occasion, the President, PFWS alongwith Team Leaders also celebrated the festival of Lohri together with the families of Dwarka Police Colony. The programme started with Lohri Pooja & lighting of the traditional Lohri bonfire. The President expressed her warm festive greetings and best wishes to all. Home-made cuisines prepared by the ladies of Dwarka Police Colony was also laid out for activating taste buds. A Cultural Programme was organized in which young members of police families participated enthusiastically at this occasion. The President, PFWS also unveiled the 3rd Edition of PFWS Newsletter encapsulating various activities during last few months.
In her address, the President, PFWS, Smt. Pratima Shrivastava congratulated the families for the new Recreation Hall and praised the efforts of family members who exhibited their skills which they learnt through ‘Hunaz se Rozgar’ program. She reiterated that Skill Development of police families is the prime objective of the Welfare Centres and various initiatives have been taken up by PFWS in this regard. Skilling and empowering the families will surely help the police families to prosper in all aspects of life.
