Visit of the President,PFWS at Delhi Police Exhibition @India Gate

An Exhibition ‘Know Your Police’ was organized by Delhi Police at the Rajpath, India Gate, during the celebration of Delhi Police Week (16.02.2019 to 20.02.2019). It was aimed to bring awareness among citizens about the safety initiatives taken by Delhi Police through various schemes and mobile apps. Smt. Suchana Patnaik, President, PFWS graced the occasion in the presence of senior police officers, senior officers’ wives and police staff. She was accorded a cordial welcome in the forecourt of the lawns of Rajpath. She visited the stalls arranged by different units of Delhi Police for showcasing the information about various schemes and apps.

PFWS stall at Delhi Police Exhibition-

A PFWS stall was installed to sell the products made by our women at all welfare centres and it was appreciated by everyone. A good sale of our products was made during this exhibition. Active ladies of our police families from all welfare centres also got a chance to visit the place and it was a fun-filled day for them.

At the exhibition ‘Police Uncle’ (an initiative to reach out to the school children of Delhi), was presented very well to showcase a friendly face of the police among the upcoming generation and to educate them about the police, its functions and duties etc. ‘Live Shows’ to sensitize people on various social issues like women safety and eveteasing, were also performed by Asmita Group.

Smt. Suchana Patnaik, in her address, congratulated one and all involved in bringing these initiatives into reality with much ease and creativity. She also mentioned that these initiatives will help the citizens and the police to build up a cohesive relationship.
