Celebration of 77th Police Raising Day

On the occasion of the 77th Delhi Police Raising Day, Chief Guest, Sh. Nityanand Rai, Hon’ble Minister of State, Ministry of Home Affairs, GOI , inaugurated the PFWS stall where Sh. Sanjay Arora,commissioner of Police,Delhi,Smt. Ritu Arora, President, of the Police Families Welfare Society, Sh. Sanjay Kumar, Special CP, Welfare Unit were also present.

Hon’ble Chief Guest, Sh. Nityanand Rai visited the PFWS stall, which showcased the products made by Police families. Smt. Ritu Arora, briefed the Hon’ble the Chief Guest,regarding the initiative taken up by PFWS by the name “SMITA” which aims at providing support to the specially-abled children of Delhi Police families with the help of various therapies like Physiotherapy, Occupational therapy, and Speech therapy.A brief video of the progress of the specially-abled children at the Smita Centre with the help of required therapies was also displayed .

she also briefed about various ongoing basic and advanced courses of stitching at various centers of PFWS in association with Singer India And Rotorary club,the Public Speaking Course in association with Times of India , “Safe Driving Program” in association with HMSI, Basic and advanced computer courses in association with NGO, Sahyog Care 4U and about facility of “Lavanya” Salon at 4 welfare centers .

She also briefed about the initiative, “Mission Olympics”.

Learning Licenses for completing the riding program and Participation certificates for completing the computer courses, Public Speaking Course and Basic course of stitching were handed over to the participants by the Hon’ble Chief Guest.

Balloons were released in the air by President PFWS and the Core Committee Members of PFWS with the hope of promoting the empowerment of all the police families.
