Dr. Sushi Singh Vice President PFWS

Her Philosophy:

After all, life is a continuous learning process.

An educationist with a flair for Social Responsibility, Dr. Sushi makes a perfect team member and Vice President for the PFWS. A learning addict, she not only takes learning from life's situations, but also takes her academic learning seriously. She holds a Ph.D in Environmental Science. Her quest for learning and passion for Social Responsibility lead her to earning a certification from Harvard University in Corporate Social Responsibility.

She extended the concept of Social Responsibility from Corporates to Individuals, not just by promoting the concept of Individual Social Responsibility in theory but also practicing in real life. Her exemplary personal efforts in the welfare initiatives of PFWS are not the only proof that she lives that philosophy herself. As a CEO of Educomp Foundation, she adopted a village, Jaitpur, in UP and developed it as a Model Village under the village adoption program - 'Mera Gaon Meri Zimmedari'. She had also activated the students of JRE College to take up teaching, health check-up Camp, cancer awareness programs and computer literacy program, as well as, cultural & sports activities in the village Primary school.

A member of the governing body Chamber of BRICS, INDIA chapter she is also actively engaged in Research and Development of Higher Education, CSR advocacy relevant to member countries. As the convener of CSR vertical of BRICS CCI, she has organized conferences and research initiatives. She has also conceptualized and commissioned a knowledge compendium for making policy changes at Government level.

Her innate organizational capability and will to take initiative with grit and determination has erstwhile resulted in her creating institutions where there none existed. She established a school in adverse circumstances as founder Principal in Bangladesh. She developed an International Voluntary Programme with Lancaster University and conducted theme based 'summer exchange programme' for students of various campuses of Lancaster University and exposed them to community, Government and academia in India for consecutively 3 years.

Various reputed entities have appreciated her contribution and abilities in more ways than just words. Vice Chancellor of Lancaster University & British Parliament Member, Mr. Tom had unequivocally appreciated her concept of churning out social ambassadors. She is a National Pride Award holder; she was conferred Dr. S. Radha krishnan National Memorial Teachers & Media Award, 2013 on Teachers Day, 2013 for her contribution in the field of education. In recognition of her organizing ability and her passion for the social cause, Indian Red Cross Societyawarded her a trophy of "Best blood donor organizer 2013".

In the year 2015, Nari Udghosh Magazine conferred "the women achiever award" to her for selfless contribution in the field of education with a focus on women and children. In March 2016, none other than Megna publications &Naree Hira bestowed her with the prestigious "Savvy Honours". Stardust & Savvy magazine featured her as "Community Queen".

She derives her energy from her passion for sports. She has been an avid sportsperson. A gold-medalist rifle shooter, golfer and marathon-runner, she encourages and inspires everyone towards physical fitness and continually learning new things in life.
